Product Details
Each soft yellow bloom of Viola ‘Etain’ looks like it has been hand-painted with a lavender edge. The lightly scented flowers appear all summer, held well above clumps of bright green leaves. It’s one of the prettiest Violets.
Viola is a valuable genus composed of more than 400 species of perennials from the world’s temperate regions. There has been much hybridizing among species, resulting in many gradations of flower form and hardiness. The varieties offered here are reliably perennial for us. They prosper in full sun or partial shade (partial shade is always best in the South and the warmest reaches of Zones 9 and 10 in the West). Violas want even moisture and will tolerate quite damp soil.
