A timeless classic, Whichford Pottery’s Shallow Basket Pot is one of the company’s most popular designs. Based on vessels featured in Elizabethan engravings, and created by patient, skilled artisans, these pots are hand thrown, allowed to partially harden, then carefully decorated in a basket-weave design. We recommend the use of larger bark mulch or a wire mesh screen to cover the drainage hole.

All Whichford pots have a 10-year frost-proof guarantee. In colder climates where they may be subject to freeze/thaw cycles, we recommend emptying and storing them indoors. If you choose to overwinter your pots outside, cover them and place in a protected area where they are not in contact with bare ground.
