Modular and contemporary in style, this four-sided planter has an architectural presence that will enhance a variety of plantings. Use it as a home for a collection of annuals, or for a minimalist look, plant it with a single specimen such as spiky Cordyline ‘Red Star’ or the statuesque Ornamental Grass Calamagrostis ‘Karl Foerster.’ The pot has the look of heavy cement, but it’s crafted from lightweight lavastone, a durable, weather-resistant compound created from volcanic ash. The result is a container that’s both attractive and easily portable. The neutral color flatters a wide range of plantings.
