Product Details
Ludisia discolor is a terrestrial Orchid native to the low-lit woodland floors of Southeast Asia. Unlike more familiar Orchids prized for their showy blooms, Ludisias (also called Jewel Orchids) are noteworthy for their lance-shaped, velvety foliage in shades of forest green and brown embellished with rich ruby undersides and iridescent veins that glimmer in the light. Individual leaves can grow to almost 4″. The fleshy stems reach at least 12″ in length and occasionally terminate in modest white flower spikes. Situate plants in indirect yet bright light to encourage strong growth. Regular, judicious watering is essential for keeping roots and stems healthy. Shipped in a 4½” wide x 5½” tall terracotta long tom pot with saucer.
