Brighten the midsummer and autumn garden and attract pollinators with the exotic, pretty, subtly pleated blossoms of Hibiscus ‘Airbrush Effect.’ The giant 8-8½” flowers of this North American native are true to the plant’s name, blending shades of pink, coral, and white in a manner that suggests the colors have been delicately sprayed onto individual petals. The flower’s dark red eye and the plant’s green foliage both add contrast. This variety of Rose Mallow makes a superb focal point in gardens with full sun to part-shade, and it’s especially useful in areas with damp or wet soil. PP 29,295

Hibiscus is a huge genus of more than 200 species. If you’re the type who goes for minuscule flowers, then this is not a genus for you. The plants produce big bright flowers that appear endlessly starting in high summer. Give them moist, well-drained soil and plenty of heat and sun. Stems will die down to the ground over winter in colder climates.
