Heliopsis Helianthoides Var. Scabra ‘Venus’

Sunny, 4”, clear yellow flowers on relatively compact Heliopsis helianthoides var. scabra ‘Venus’ add a golden glow to borders and vases. The flowers are semi-double and full but not excessively so. We tuck this one into borders to add bright spots here and there. ‘Venus’ was bred in Germany for cut-flower use.

This genus is native to North America and all its species are hardy and vigorous Sunflower look-alikes. If you like clear, bright golden yellow flowers, deep green foliage, and minimal care, you will love Heliopsis. They thrive in full sun and well-drained, even dry soil.
