With their round forms and bright, happy colors, the plants in our Beach Balls Dahlia Trio bring playful tones to the garden and to vases in the house. Our trio features three notably prolific, Ball-form varieties. Dahlia ‘Red Fox’ produces a multitude of richly colored maroon-red blossoms. Dahlia ‘Jowey Frambo’ delivers an abundance of raspberry-pink flowers. And its equally high-performance sibling Dahlia ‘Jowey Chantel’ ignites the combo with bicolor blooms in colors of yellow and raspberry. All of these varieties are terrific for cutting, which means you can also enjoy some of the fabulous color inside the house. 3 tubers, 1 of each variety, labeled.

Dahlias are native to Mexico and South America, and hold their display in reserve for mid- to late summer and early fall. The genus offers incredible diversity of color and form and we offer dozens of varieties every year. Dahlias are perennial but not cold hardy – tubers can overwinter in the ground in Zone 8 or warmer; in colder climates tubers can be dug after frost and easily stored indoors over winter. Please note – Dahlias should be planted outside once the danger of frost has passed and soil temperature has reached approximately 60°.
